America Day!... Before We Head Over the Pond...

Hi! Thanks for reading my blog! I am getting way, way, way too excited about what is about to happen! Quick intro: I am going on my 2nd year of law school at University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law (whew! I'm gonna call it UALR from now on). 2 of my friends from school, Elizabeth and Sidney, and I are about to embark on a 6 week European adventure! We will be studying at Oxford University in Oxford, England. Pretty cool, huh? We are taking some trips beforehand, some trips during (class is only Monday-Thursday!), and some trips after. We are gonna be some busy, busy bees. Ok, now here is where I start to blog and act like I know what I am doing...

Well, today is the 4th of July. And I leave for my trip in 2 days. Which means I spent my America Day packing, packing, packing, freaking out, packing, putting on red shorts to be patriotic, and packing some more. I am glad we strategically scheduled our trip so that we leave July 6. It'd be weird if we were in England for July 4th... ya know... with the Lobsterbacks. Ya know... since we won, they lost. But hey, that's water under the bridge!

Anyway, my house has turned into a disaster zone (sorry, Mama!). Half my closet is in my suitcase. Oops! Yes, I do need 15 "going-out" shirts. No, no one will remember what I wore 3 weeks before, especially because I will be in a different country every weekend. But still. I'm scared to weigh my suitcase because that means I will have to make decisions on what to eliminate. AAAAH! No packing pictures will be posted with this post, due to the tasmanian devil that just ran through my house and made it as messy as it is...

We leave at 11:45 am on July 6. Fly to Dallas (lame), Philly, and thennnn Dublin! We are due to land at 8:45 am on July 7. So we HOPE to make it to our hostel as quickly as possible, freshen up, and go. Guinness tour, anyone?? Pray for our safe travels! Gonna miss e'erbody
